Chelmsford Living Room

Redesign

Sometimes people need a helping hand at the start of a project. That’s exactly what I did with this living room and family space.

The client couldn’t see how best to layout the adjoining rooms plus they needed some guidance on how to pull it all together, they knew what styles they liked but needed some clear direction.

That’s exactly what I provided them with, detailed floor plan options of how best to configure furniture for the tricky space, stunning mood boards, detailed shopping list for them to go ahead and purchase all the furniture and lighting plus a sample board for the finishes.

This was definitely a challenging space to design but that’s exactly the type of challenge I love. With an office space to fit in, TV chill out zone, kids toy storage - this area had to be a lot of things as it was the central hub of the home.

I knew the family wanted a homely Scandi vibe so use of texture was key to creating a relaxed and calm environment that was also welcoming. The colours were kept calming in earthy green and grey with wooden furniture and typically Scandi style lighting throughout.

With careful space planning this living and dining area was transformed into a usable family room.
