A Celebration of Colour & Character
Colourful Period Home Suffolk
This Suffolk interior design project focused on transforming the ground floor of a family home into a warm, characterful and highly personal space. Having lived in the property for some time, the clients felt their interiors lacked cohesion and no longer reflected how they wanted to live.We developed a new interior scheme that celebrated colour, pattern and the period character of the property. Decorative wall panels and botanical wallpapers became a defining feature, complemented by a rich palette of soft greens, deep blues and warm ochres. Existing pieces were carefully considered alongside vintage and antique furniture, new lighting,
bespoke window treatments and accessories to create rooms that felt collected rather than overly designed.
The layout and furniture selections were also reconsidered to improve how each space functioned for family life, while creating a natural flow between the living and dining areas.
The result is a layered, welcoming family home that combines period details with colourful, contemporary interior design — full of personality, individuality and pieces that feel as though they have evolved with the house.
