Contemporary Bedroom

Master Bedroom Design

The space in this room wasn't being used to it's full potential and the layout just didn't work as well as it could do. With french doors and views into the gorgeous garden we repositioned the bed on the back wall so the views could be fully taken advantage of and offered a better sightline from the bed.

The built in wardrobes either side frames the bed and the panelling behind added more detailing and helped to disguise the air-con unit, all creating a stunning statement on the bed wall.

The brief was to ensure the room was tactile with attention to detail and mix of textures, cosy but with an airy feel, a gentle nod to the beachy vibe interior but in sunny Suffolk.

To address the strong sunlight in this room, we made a feature of the window and patio doors by wrapping the curtains around and into the corner to create a wall of fabric.

With two layers, a voile for light filtering, then a stunning fabric for the curtains with a subtle contemporary pattern was a soft balance to the wardrobes opposite.
