Contemporary and Colourful Home

Whole Home Furnishing & Styling

My client approached me to ask for help with her newly purchased new build that was mostly grey. It was in need of some colour injection and a big dose of personality.

New builds can feel quite boxy, no real features and although great blank canvases it can be hard to know what to do with them.

Splashes of colour were used throughout the property from bold blues and mustard yellow downstairs and then a softer palette of greens and pinks upstairs.

To add more interest to the open plan lounge I designed a fireplace and TV unit in a contemporary style which created a striking visual focal point.

For the master bedroom I designed bespoke wardrobes that had a TV within them. The middle doors were made to be like pocket doors so they folded back into the wardrobe when the TV is in use so they didn't become a distraction.

With statement lighting, colour in abundance, a mix of blinds, curtains and venetian's, key furniture pieces and some bespoke joinery I feel this grey new build became anything but grey and definitely had more personality you could shake a stick at!
