Blackheath, South London
For this project my client wanted to combine both traditional and modern interior styles that created a cosy yet airy feeling. As a secondary lounge in the house they wanted it to be sophisticated, less family orientated and more grown up, a place they could really escape to.
They already had a gorgeous blue velvet sofa and that formed the basis of the whole design.
I planned the space so it felt more usable and created a better seating arrangement, as due to the door placement, lots of windows and location of the fire this was proving tricky for them to navigate.
Being a large family they wanted to incorporate their family photos and collection of art and ornaments so storage and display was vital to the design.
I selected contrasting armchairs that worked with the existing sofa and sourced modern and vintage style pieces of furniture to allow them the space to showcase their belongings plus designed a bespoke built in cabinet.
The design was brought to life using 3D software that was presented to the client to show them exactly how the room would look, in conjunction with a sample board of all the finishes for the room.
